CursorCafe.com
- Privacy Policy
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It's short and you don't need to be a lawyer or a software engineer to make sense of it. If there are any technical terms that you don't understand, we encourage you to visit www.webopedia.com. This resource will give you friendly definitions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CursorCafe.com distributes two pieces of software. The first is the CursorCafe Installer that allows users to set their desktop cursor from the CursorCafe.com website with only one click. The CursorCafe Installer is required to use cursors from CursorCafe.com. CursorCafe.com also offers the optional Starware Toolbar featuring the CursorCafe.com button. The Starware Toolbar is provided by Starware and comprises a web browser toolbar with web search assistant and travel search assistant functionality (collectively, the "Toolbar"). The Toolbar provides useful, convenient and fun services that enhance your web browsing experience ("Toolbar Services"). Examples of Toolbar Services include CursorCafe.com Web Search, CursorCafe.com Dictionary, and CursorCafe.com Travel Search. The Starware Toolbar privacy policy can be read here. Some Starware Toolbar Services provide links to partner websites that are neither owned nor controlled by CursorCafe.com (e.g. the Starware Travel Search service links to Orbitz.com), and are governed by the privacy practices of those partners. Please take the time to carefully read the privacy policies of those partners when visiting their websites. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does CursorCafe.com use the CursorCafe Installer to track the websites I visit or what I do on them? No. If I download and install the CursorCafe Installer, will CursorCafe.com send me unsolicited commercial email ("spam")? No. What does CursorCafe.com do to protect my security when I download and install the CursorCafe.com Installer? During the download and installation of the Toolbar and Toolbar Services, CursorCafe.com uses Microsoft's high-security technology to make sure that the software you are installing has not been tampered with or modified by anyone outside of CursorCafe.com. The technology (called Authenticode) verifies that a given software file has not been modified from the time it was "signed" (i.e., shipped) by its publisher. Like the seal on a bottle of Tylenol, this technology reveals if the software has been tampered with before it reaches your computer. If this tamper-test fails, the software will be rejected and prevented from running on your computer. These protections help ensure that our software remains virus-free. Does CursorCafe.com collect usage statistics on the CursorCafe Installer, and if so, what does it do with such information? No. Does CursorCafe.com create individual user profiles with the CursorCafe Installer usage statistics it collects? No. What personally identifiable information is collected about users of the CursorCafe.com Installer? None. "Personally identifiable information" is non-anonymous information such as your name, phone number, credit card information, address or email address-anything that could identify you personally. Will I get email from other companies because I downloaded the CursorCafe Installer? No. Does the CursorCafe Installer include unique serial numbers? No. What can I do to remove the CursorCafe Installer from my computer? If you wish to Uninstall the CursorCafe Installer, go to your Start Menu > Control Panel. In the Control Panel select "Add or Remove Programs." In the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel, scroll down to the item named "CursorCafe Installer" and click "Change/Remove." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We encourage you to periodically check back here. If we ever make changes to our privacy policy, we will post them here seven days before they go into effect. Where can I learn more about protecting my privacy online?
